At long, long, last, I'm officially an attorney!
Even after finishing law school, and passing the Bar exam, Tennessee requires you to take ANOTHER small course on Tennessee-specific law. So after several delays, I was finally sworn in last week!
Our county's Clerk and Master has been a dear friend for many years. I was so honored that she could be the one to perform my ceremony.
After my swearing-in, my sweet friend threw me a "BARbie" party in celebration of passing the Bar and becoming a licensed attorney!
It was the absolute perfect theme for me - I'm like the Barbie equivalent of a Disney adult. I can quote all the Barbie movies. Life in the Dreamhouse is my comfort show. I'll be at the midnight premiere of the new Barbie live-action movie that comes out in July, and I'll be decked out in pink and sparkles. Sierra and I even made a TikTok to commemorate the new movie.
It goes without saying, we all wore pink.
Life is so sweet right now. We've had three good ultrasounds. We find out the gender of our precious rainbow baby in a couple of weeks. My career is finally beginning. I'm surrounded by so much encouragement, and so many wonderful friends. My husband and I are so in love, so excited for this next chapter of our marriage, it almost feels unfair.
Last year I was at the lowest point I'd ever been, and now it all seems too good to be true. How can one person receive this much happiness?
I'm thankful. So, so thankful.
