It's a.......GIRL!!!

I am elated.

You can probably tell from the look on my face - I was beyond happy! I was so hoping for a little girl. We had decided on a boy's name that I absolutely loved, and I would have been so happy to have a little boy - but I'm also so, SO excited to dress my little baby doll in all the pink and ruffles.

Cody's sister and mom threw us a gender reveal party, so our family got to laugh at my (possibly overzealous) reaction.

But I don't care. I've already placed two orders of adorable baby clothes in the week since the party, and I'll probably be placing more. I'm so excited. I hope our daughter has Cody's blue eyes, our dark hair, and my features. I hope she and I will be the very best of friends. I pray she will be sweet and generous and kind-hearted and fiercely protective of herself and others.

I can't believe that all my wishes are coming true.
